How do you charge?
Per page extracted, flat rate of $0.05/page — the price never changes with volume or document type. No subscription, no minimums, no per-seat fees. Need more than 1M pages/month? Email sales for negotiated pricing.
What counts as a page?
One PDF page or one PPTX slide. Images (PNG/JPG/HEIC/etc.) count as one page each.
Why are images returned as URLs and not base64?
Base64 inflates responses by ~33% and bloats your JSON to megabytes per page. We return hosted URLs so responses stay small (kilobytes) on every tier — including Free. Fetch images on demand only when you need them. Images are signed and expire with your retention window.
Do I have to choose a profile or domain?
No. One unified pipeline runs on every document — reading-order text, tables, formulas, complete figure crops, and bounding boxes all come standard. You upload, we extract everything.
Is the Free tier really all features?
Yes. The 200 free pages get the same extraction quality as paid pages. We want you to evaluate the entire product — including complete figure crops and Markdown output — before you pay anything.
How does billing work?
Prepaid wallet. Top up via card from $5; every extracted page debits your balance. Refill anytime from the Billing page.
Do you store my documents?
Source files auto-purge after your retention window (1h to 168h — 7 days max — your choice per request). Results follow the same window. POST /v1/jobs/{id}/purge for instant GDPR erasure. Or use BYOS to keep files entirely in your own S3/R2 bucket — we never see them.
What about higher volume or custom requirements?
For accounts above 100K pages/month we offer negotiated pricing, higher rate limits, and BYOS so source files stay in your own S3/R2 bucket.
